Julia Purinton spent her childhood in Virginia and Pennsylvania, graduated from
Harvard College with a degree in Fine Arts, pursued a course of study at the
School of Fine Arts in New York City, and now divides her time between
Washington, DC and Vermont's Mad River Valley.
Frequently exhibiting throughout New England in shows benefitting
environmental and conservation causes, Purinton has been awarded Best of Show
at the Crane Estate Art Show ( 2008 & 2011,) and the Ipswich Cultural Council
(2007,) People's Choice (2009) and Award of Excellence ( 2005,2006,2008) @
Ipswich Cultural Council annual art show.

Gallery (Newburyport, MA) and the Sargent Gallery on Martha's Vineyard.
Her decorative painting company, Medusa Studio, provides custom murals for
commercial and private interiors across the country, twice winning Best of Boston
Awards for murals and decorative paint finishes.
